Rising Seas

This is sculptor David Barbara’s latest work currently on display at Stirling University.
 
David is a member of GOSSIP, our local artist collective, and the work references global warming. Every year the sea rises another .13 inches (3.2 mm) and the latest research shows sea level is accelerating and projected to rise further.
 
Meanwhile on a more mundane level I have been busy watering the garden lest we have a very dry spell in the next week.
 
And packing for Hay Festival. What to take is always a dilemma because I have known scorching heat and torrential rain all within a week. One year it was so cold I had to scour charity shops for warm sweaters.
