Summertime?
Marvellous May certainly. An early walk with C, the Megs and Bella across the valley from Craig Yr Aderyn (Bird Rock,) this view showing the flat land which the seawater covered little over a thousand years ago. Seabirds still nest on the 750ft promontory, now six miles inland. The near face is popular with rock climbers but there's a gentler slope behind. The dogs ran and chased, we walked and sat for a while on one of the benches in this woodland trust reserve which we had entirely to ourselves. Schh ... let's keep it a secret.
After a post walk cuppa I took Meg home before heading to the pottery where I continued painting my rainbow bowl for a while. The rest of the day passed peacefully doing a few chores, weeding and planting out some sunflowers and cosmos, cooking and sharing a chicken pie and some scones and finally watering and weeding at the allotment. Late evening now, I am finishing the pottery glaze painting at home - the kilns will be loaded tomorrow so if I'm lucky it will be fired and ready to collect at the weekend.
A good day.
