Today we spent the day in Alesund - a very different place to yesterdays.
It was rainy and very windy this morning so after a walk around we got a ditto train to see the highlights. We went up to Aksla view point - and what a view point! You could see for miles and the Iona ship even looked small.
Then round to the aquarium for a while as the weather still wasn’t good.
Back to the ship fora coffee and lunch then out again. Another trip up to the view point as the weather had cleared a little. Then a final walk around the town down by the waterside.
The cruise out from Alesund was interesting as there was a huge swell - I certainly wouldn’t have wanted to move this ship which cost £730 million when it was built in October 2200 in the wind!.
