A Chained Chopper At The 2i's, London

Another walk round Soho today. This time I was drawn to neon for today's images. The main image was taken on Old Compton Street - I loved the retro chopper chained up outside!
The 2i Coffee Bar was originally owned by two brothers, Freddie and Sammy Irani, hence the name the 2i's. They only owned it until 1955 after which it was taken over by two ex-wrestlers Ray "Rebel" Hunter and Paul Lincoln, whose fighting name was Dr.Death! It was them who came up with the idea of a live music venue in the basement. Regular acts included Cliff Richard and Adam Faith which meant it became enormously popular causing the capacity to regularly exceed the limit of 80. It eventually closed in 1970 but the site still celebrates it's heritage. Presently it's a fish and chip restaurant.
The extra, "Pink Panther Neon", was taken nearby on Frith Street.
