John and Sean arrived mid-morning to finish off the project they started on Tuesday. They planted two dwarf lilac trees and transplanted Joe Pye weed and six tall grasses into this new bed located in our backyard. The largest tall grass was split in two and moved to the bed that runs along the side of the house in front. I was concerned about transplanting a large group of bee balm myself and asked for their assistance. The bee balm was added to the butterfly bed that’s directly in front of the white fence in this pic • We also relocated two hummingbird feeders to the new bed, and the hummers weren’t bothered at all • More weeding today, with only one flower bed left! • Next week I’ll talk to Gary about scheduling the second half of this project - extending the patio into the area where all these plants came from • Busy Bees :)
