WHAT IS IT?

It’s a PURPLE LEAF PLUM tree that is producing fruit, for the first time. I thought these trees are strictly ornamental, but
the proof is in the (plum) pudding. Maybe
all our recent rain is responsible.

The fruit is about the size of a cherry & is
actually edible. According to my research, the flavor is variable, but can be sweet, if ripe.

Maybe this is why I have seen a squirrel
on this wall…

PS: Today I took a cardio drumming class & it was a blast. It was a good workout for upper body & also cognitive function.
Keeping up with the drumming sequences was tricky, but I was able to figure it out.
And it was fun!
