England, Beach, Bank Holiday, Sunshine!
We have travelled up to Bolton le Sands at the Northern end of Morecambe Bay for a stop-over on our way to Kendal. Being the Friday before a Bank Holiday weekend in the UK, with sunshine forecast*, half the population have taken the day off. Consequently, the M6 was quite choked up, but it was at least moving for most of the time.
We were set up by early afternoon so we walked to a cafe and enjoyed ice-cream and coffee followed by a walk on the beach.
These thrift patches are growing just above the high tide mark and I thought they would do for Flower Friday and Wild Flower Week - thanks to our hosts, Biker Bear and Miranda1008.
I don't envy our daughter and her family travelling up the M6 tomorrow!
However - the weather is set fair for the next week or so, sun block vendors may be very happy?
In the extra, a natural sculpture, driftwood, seaweed the wind & tide.
* this is virtually unheard of and likely to result in various daft newspaper headlines tomorrow :-)
