Ready to Play
These Paignton Park tennis courts officially reopened on Monday 22 May after a £337,000 investment from the UK Government and LTA Tennis Foundation, and £167,000 funding provided by the Council.
Through the Parks Tennis Project, the LTA is delivering the biggest ever investment in parks tennis facilities across Britain.
The courts have undergone extensive work to ensure viability for years to come, including resurfacing, repainting, new nets, and gate systems. This nationwide programme of investment is seeing thousands of existing park tennis courts in poor or unplayable condition brought back to life.
This morning we had a coffee outside at the newly opened seafront Mercure Hotel. Very quiet today.
Two shiny new facilities. Are things looking up ?
