Sgùrr Èilde Mòr
Up North, and another utterly stunning Friday-expedition - no snow today, quite the opposite actually, with glorious sunshine for almost the whole 10-mile walk ...
... we successfully summited Sgùrr Èilde Mòr and enjoyed really wonderful 360-degree, panoramic views right throughout the higher sections of the route :-)
Main snap shows my walking companions 'M' & 'M' making the initial approach to the mountain - the view is looking back over Loch Leven, with the prominent Pap of Glencoe on the left; 1st extra is 'M' admiring the view right at the start of the walk; 2nd extra and we're up on the plateau with our main objective, Sgùrr Èilde Mòr, in plain sight; 3rd extra shows 'M' & 'M' tackling the final really steep, scree-scramble up to the conical summit; 4th extra the view as we breached the bealach very near the top (the lochan below is the one in the 2nd extra).
Marvelous day, made all the better by a most enjoyable dinner-stop at the Real Food Cafe (in Tyndrum) on the way home :-))
