You shouldn't be looking
JJ went off to pick up Liam for his golf lesson, leaving me free to wander. There were two Malachite beetles this morning but nothing else, so I headed round the back of the pond towards the bottom of the wheat field for a potter and a bit of trespass.
On the way I came across a couple of neighbours walking their ancient Norfolk terrier, very, very slowly, around the second playing field. We stopped for a natter and I told him I have just put his book into my Amazon basket along with another friend's book. His name is David C Barclay and the book is "This is my Dad - He's Dead". I'll let you know what it's like when I've finished it.
Not much happening in the field margins, although I did get a picture of what is either a Brown Argus or female Common Blue. A bit of research needed.
Other than than it was these two having a grand old time on a blade of grass, as you do.
Which reminds me, the robins were at it on the fence yesterday morning, so maybe they're going to have another go at raising a family. They still seem to be feeding one in the hawthorn hedge.
Off on a jaunt tomorrow for a couple of nights.
