Zaha Hadid - and more 79+1 therapy

#2 daughter arrived around 10 then the 4 of us set off for our night in Glasgow - one of Mr C’s 79+1 birthday treats.

The Edinburgh by-pass was horrendous as always so we didn’t reach the Riverside Museum till 1pm. I had suggested he’d like the contents - old cars etc - and I like Hadid architecture so it was win win. I actually enjoyed the museum anyway and there was also a tall ship to visit.

Then we drove to the Malmaison, which had been a church (looked more like a Masonic temple), and #3 daughter and I checked in while #2 accompanied Mr C to the nearby car park which we got a deal with through the hotel.

We had a cocktail in the bar then strolled up through Blythswood Square to Brian Maule restaurant where we had a delicious meal courtesy of the daughters. Because of Mr C’s hearing issues we asked the waiting staff where there was a nearby quiet bar. She recommended Bath Street - too noisy even for the daughters so we went back to the hotel where we had a chat and another cocktail. It was a really lovely evening as we don’t often get relaxed time with the daughters minus children or partners.
