Life after death

The ponga has died. Other plants have begun to grow on the ponga trunk The epiphytes will have a less permanent stay than those plants which will send roots into the ground establishing a permanent place in the undergrowth.

I have persisted with walking , and rarely running as the shoes I have been wearing have very worn down soles, raising in my mind the risk of sliding on the wet roads/paths. On Friday I bought some very cheap and simple shoes with soles that give me confidence that I am unlikely to slide on a wet path.

Todays run was comfortable.
