Susan’s long border

She’s very pleased with her border this year, especially by the succession from spring bulbs to these early summer flowers.

We were surprised to see a blue bodied dragonfly flitting around the pond this lunchtime. We thought it was very unusual but it turned out to be a wide bodied chaser which are quite common here.

The cold northerly continues to whistle around the house, desiccating the soil. It looks as if it’ll be blowing for a good few days yet.

Yesterday’s photo caused must indignation and consternation. I’ll never understand some folks.
