Another casualty

As you can see from the damage to this Azure Damselfly's wings, wind can be a real problem for the emerging damselfy.   This one was caught out by this morning's gusty conditions when it was at a vulnerable stage, and as a result it was barely capable of flight.  As damsels catch their prey in flight, one can only hope that some lucky a bird managed to make a meal of it instead, before the damsel starved to death.  

That said, there have been a few successes today, where the emerging damselfy had managed to pick a leaf that was in a more sheltered position, so its not all doom and gloom.
