Life on the pond.
Another beautiful day with plenty of sunshine.
We did our “ lockdown “ walk over to the next village to see what was happening on the pond.
Lots of changes since we visited before the holidays, but we were surprised to see the heron was still there.
Seems to be quite used to people.
Watched him catch two fish, but he is so quick I didn’t get a photo.
The mother goose was on the island sat on a nest while father was stood on lookout.
Also spotted a very tiny moorhen chick also on the island.
Then a lovely surprise to see mum mallard and 11 very tiny ducklings appear from the bank. A quick swim and then back to hide amongst the plants and flowers.
It’s all happening!
Lunch in the garden and then sat reading.
Our youngest son is now on his way round for a barbecue, so better start getting things prepared.
What a lovely way to spend Bank Holiday Monday.
