Another pair of plastic sheep...
Another dry, sunny day.
Everyone marking hill lambs so I kept well out the road. Started to muck out the dung in the shearing shed as it won't be long until it's that time of year again. Despite selling all the in bye X ewes here there will still be all the hill blackies and all the X ewes next door to do. And wool will be worth bugger all again this year. It's hard to understand how a natural, low carbon, sustainable product can't be put to better ,more viable use in this age of eco everything.
Headed off at lunch time to look 14 heifers that Border Livestock had for sale on a farm at Romanno Bridge.
Ended up buying them,so that's another job for next week hauling them home.
Back home via Carr's Billington at Penicuik where I spotted these sheep. Mates of the ones I saw at Waverley station and Blipped last week.
Spent the rest of the afternoon hauling more cows and calves out to grass. Will hopefully get some more out tomorrow. We shall see.....
