"Stop eating animals!"

That was the message from campaigner and journalist George Monbiot in a highly controversial talk “ The Biggest Food Revolution since the Neolithic“ today at Hay Festival.
But Minette Batters, President of the NFU  attempted to   defend the farming industry. However it was clear the audience, quite rightly, were on the side of Monbiot and animals.
