Immature bald eagle
I walked the trails behind our house today, just for a change. I took the second extra of our closest neighbour's place from the trail.
Planted the veggies and flowers that the neighbour gave me yesterday and did a few other things in the garden. I could hear eagles and saw them flying in circles in the distance, so there's obviously a carcass that they've spotted. I was doing a few things in the house and G was working outside, and he called me because an immature eagle landed in one of the trees near the edge of our property. I got the telephoto lens on the camera and took a few shots, but it was too far away to get a very good shot. It had its back to us and I tried to take a few when it turned its head briefly. This was the best and it's really cropped. The head and the tail feathers are just starting to turn white. We see eagles often, and it's always a thrill.
G also spotted the wee frog on the wall in the first extra and called me to see it, so I went out to take a photo of it too. :-)
