Open Sesame

Here she is! Our first poppy unfurled this morning. I saw her as soon as I opened the blinds and immediately went out to welcome her :) There are 14 more pods yet to open. Yes, you read that right! 14!!! Polly Poppy is showing off! • We’ve had a busy two days in the garden. Here’s everything we’ve planted: tomatoes, sweet peppers, zucchini, leeks, broccoli, sunflowers, borage, runner beans and cilantro. Tomorrow we’ll start on the potatoes • It’s concerning we haven’t seen a hummer in a couple of days. Is it because they’re nesting? Or did they leave? • The bananas in the protein feeder are black but I’ve not seen any fruit flies • A large noisy group of starlings has descended into our yard and are a nuisance. All day long they squawk and fly around the property. We’ve never had them this time of year and wonder why now? • So many mysteries! • Peace, Love & Gardening :)
