staring at the deer

I saw a deer but didn't get a good shot. The squirrel also saw the deer but after staring a bit did not stick around. I woke up this morning and discovered I had an early morning meeting, which seems a little bit mean but I know it wasn't intended to be so, and at least it was 8 am and not 7:30 which is just absurd.

Ukraine invented an app to manage many government functions. The goal was to eliminate the human in the middle who can extract a bribe. This was part of Ukraine's work to address corruption. It is actually pretty common in some countries to address corruption in this way. 

Then Covid hit and they expanded the app to try to meet other social needs. Then Russia did its second invasion and so they expanded it to provide information. Now you can use it to document damage to your home and someday get an estimate of the damage and .... maybe one day restitution. 

Those drones that hit Moscow recently? Maybe they really were sent by Ukraine or Ukraine sympathizers. There was a recent drone attack on Moscow. The US and everyone else have been very clear that the weapons they provide cannot be used on Russia proper because we are scared of escalating the war to include us. BUT Ukraine is free to use its own weapons. Someone just sent at least 8 drones into Moscow. Ukraine said it isn't doing it but is enjoying watching. The drones seem to be wigging Moscow out.

The attacks on the Russian border towns by Russian militias are also wigging Russia out and distracting them from the upcoming counter attack. 

The American-born daughter of Russian propagandist, Vladimir Solovyov, lives in Moscow and criticizes the war on Ukraine on social media.
