Rummaging in the garage today I came across this old beauty which belonged to my Great Uncle Ted.

He did a carpenter's apprenticeship in Bicester in about 1890 & having seen the agreement between his father & his employer it was like he was being sold into slavery !

Not only was he a carpenter & a policeman & a clock fixer, but I remember he was also a bit of a magician...particularly in the sleight of hand department. He could make things disappear & then magically reappear in your pocket ! It all appeared quite amazing to a small boy as I was then.
