Rhododendron

I've been looking forward to seeing this rhododendron bush in bloom for three years. When we moved here it was buried beneath a giant flowering currant bush After we got rid of the monster flowering currant, this bush emerged but with only three  flowers. It was a very peculiar elongated shape but it was such a striking colour that I decided to sacrifice the flowers for a year or two by cutting it back hard. I am glad to say it is now suitably bush shaped and looking much happier. see extra.
