Young great spotted woodpecker takes off

I think this is a juvenile great spotted woodpecker which is living in and around our back garden. I see it many times a day and hear it calling from its many perches on trees all around the back gardens. I watched it fly away to the far end of the garden and land on a branch rather than the trunk. 

I stood with my camera on our back step wondering if it would fly somewhere. Then it took off, and my focus lasted only a fraction of a second, which sadly wasn't long enough to keep it sharp in this frame. But at least it gives an impression of its varied wing patterns which I really like.
