Tofu stir fry at the pub with Neil's dub reggae
Helena spotted that Erin was cooking some vegetarian stir fry in the garden of the Crown and Sceptre our local pub, just two hundred yards from home. She suggested we went and had our Bank Holiday Monday meal there.
We arrived early just as the first servings of food were close to being ready. Inside I bought our drinks and said hello to Rodda, our wonderful local pub landlord.
I picked up a copy of our local monthly free listings magazine. On it was a cover in honour of our friend Dennis Gould's letterpress printing and his poetry, which he has been known to perform at this pub. We have an original copy of the artwork they have used for the cover.
In the background is Neil who told me he was earning his lunch by playing dub reggae to the customers in the pub's garden. Erin, his wife, has cooked the food. They live in our street.
Over the years I've previously blipped all the people I've mentioned here!
