Beauty and the Beast

The bluebells are really beautiful this year, such an intense vibrant blue, and there seem to be many more of them.

In the foreground is the beastly Japanese knotweed. It is so difficult to eradicate and this particular clump cannot be sprayed because of its proximity to a watercourse. The only good thing is that it doesn't propagate by seed.
