Afternoon coffee stop
An excellent start to the day watching three woodpeckers from my breakfast table, for once I wasn’t I reading the paper on my iPad.
Then a relatively early train to Linlithgow to do the risk assessment for the middle stage of the Union Canal walk. The diversion which several weeks ago added on nearly 2 miles was no longer in place making a total distance from train station to bus stop in Ratho Station (where there isn’t a station anymore) to just over 16 miles, so doable as a Ramblers “strenuous “ walk.
The blip was taken from the cafe in the Climbing Centre, at mile 14.
A lovely stretch with minimal traffic noise and some interesting conversations with fellow walkers.
