Handkerchief Tree

This is my favourite tree in Pollok Park, especially when there is a breeze and the handkerchiefs flutter about as they did today. The old driveway was looking at its best in the late afternoon sunshine, the extra.
At P’s supper party I learnt that our access into the park is a relatively new development and until a few years ago involved a bit of a climb down a grassy slope into the allotment road. A convivial evening with delicious food and M’s NZ wine.
