Day 12 Pola de Lena to Oviedo. Just 22 miles

Our toughest climbing day, El Cordal,  600m up for 3.6 miles, average 11%.  I admit I walked a quarter of it! Absolutely stunning! Oh and donkeys at the start. All the animals wore bells even the horses!  Descended through beautiful mountain scenery we arrived in Oviedo,  the capital of Asturias. Such a gem of a city. We have a lovely apartment overlooking the cathedral.  We have done the tourist bits - the cathedral, the stunning streets and the culture but at the museum of fine art.
