The star of our show

Bella is a devoted member of the drama club at her middle school, and tonight they performed Legally Blonde. As always, she worked back stage, but her mom said, "For us, you were the star!" Bella rolled her eyes, said nothing, and resisted being kissed.

Evan pretended ennui about the whole situation. His only comment: "There's a squid that lives in the blackest part of the ocean, and it shoots out phosphorescent slime to blind its victims."

Thanks to stevvi for sending me a Youtube that explained how to fix the malfunctioning focal system on my camera. All is well again.

P.S. Seth, Bella & Evan's dad, is in Tel Aviv tonight. He just sent me a photo of the view of the promenade taken after he waded into the Mediterranean and turned back to look at the cityscape.
