Friday flowers

Lupins at Saughton gardens.  Bright poppies in the extra. Had gone hoping for roses, since they are out in people's gardens in the city, and on Blip, but the roses aren't showing any sign of flowering, though the new leaves look healthy .. 

Started with an early lane swim. Over to the Lawnmarket for a Library meeting; I've been asked to join the NLS research advisory board. Made some pictures of the buildings in Riddle's Close in good light.  Out to the Saughton gardens by tram; as we were trying to find the entrance to the glass houses (the automatic doors weren't opening) we met, it turned out afterwards, @maurice1948 looking for alternative car parking. We were, as many people must be, disappointed that the cafe is 'closed until further notice' .. it would be a good place for a van while something else is sorted out. 

Walked around to the Murrayfield tram stop by the Water of Leith. The returning tram had 'To Newhaven' on its electronic signage, and a temporary board saying its destination was St Andrews Square.
