If you can't beat them...

Germander Speedwell ( Veronica chamaedrys )

A quick shot of one of the flowers in the Amber Nook "wildflower meadow".  The wildlife trusts have a "30 days wild" challenge for June.  They encourage doing something wild every day in June.  This can be anything from going for a walk in the country, listening to bird song wilding your garden etc.  Last year I tried to blip something wild each day, but obviously not this year.

Germander Speedwell is a common little blue flower often seen in grassland.  They can be up to 50cm (20") but the height seems to depend on the surrounding vegetation, for obvious reasons.  It is a European native plant.  Historically it has been used to make a "tea" which was reputedly a cure for gout.
