Thalictrum aquilegiifolium "Purple Cloud"

A day spent at the studio with Clickychick getting things back to normal after our time away.  Nothing round the studio caught my eye, so it was back to looking round the garden.

It was getting later and the temperature was going down, this meant there were no bees round the flower.  Generally, they find it very attractive.  I am afraid I am not used to knowing this plant by a common name, so I looked it up.  It would seem this is a specimen of Greater Meadow Rue.
