Start of the next year

Today we travelled to Tauranga (Papamoa Beach) to help my older brother celebrate his birthday. His birthday is always close to the English monarch's birthday celebration, which tends to mean that it falls on or is near to the statutory holiday on the Monday closest to 01 June..

My siblings and I (with our wife/husbands), and L's children and grandchildren (with or without partners) gathered mid afternoon and had a feast with cake after the sun had set.

Prior to the setting of the sun I walked across the road, and down a Beach access path to the many kilometres long beach. there i was treated to the setting of the sun and 180º around the rising of the moon (see the extra)
