Today's the day ....................... to be spoilt for choice

There are so many wonderful things going on in the garden just now, that I am spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing a blip.

The only thing missing from the above picture is the intoxicating perfume that this rosa rugosa has.  I love these roses and although we have had them in a previous garden, we've never had one this deep purple-pink colour before.  The deutzias (1st extra) that were also already in situ, are bursting forth into flower with those long arching branches covered with blossoms - and if you have an endless blue sky as a backdrop, they are really stunning.  

And for anyone that might be interested in the outcome of Will's labours yesterday, the second extra is the finished product ..................!
