Sea thrift on another beautiful Coll beach

On our last full day on the Isle of Coll, we replicated the pattern established here since our day of arrival on the island last Thursday: cycle to beach; play/read/learn Gaelic/eat picnic; cycle back to the bed and breakfast; take a shower; play Scrabble if there is time; speak to family members on the phone (principally Mummy hazelh); walk to the Coll Hotel for supper; walk home again; go to bed. We are going to be very sorry not to be doing the same tomorrow, especially since the fabulous weather is set to continue.

Today's beach destination was one on the north west coast of the island. It's one of the smaller ones and doesn't appear to have its own name. The OS map shows that it lies between two named places: Torastan and Cornaigbeg.

We both agreed that the sea was warm enough for swimming today. However, only Mr hazelh acted on this declaration. In the extras are 'before'. 'during', and 'after' shots of the brave swimmer. My main blip is of sea thrift growing in the sand.

Tomorrow we head back to Oban for a night with Mr hazelh's Uncle John and his wife Jane. Then Holiday part 2 takes us a little further north on Tuesday. To be continued...

Exercise today: cycling (10 miles); small amount of walking (6,424 steps).
