Another grey and chilly start to the day which was much improved by lunch time. NH collected m and we drove for about 20 minutes to Screveton to a peony workshop. I couldn’t really remember what we were going to be doing and decided to leave it as a surprise!
The highlight was coming home with a huge bunch of beautiful blooms. We also learned how the hand tie a bouquet and also made a hanging star with greenery and peonies. It was the first time that the presenter had ran the workshop she her time management was a bit out. Too much padding at the beginning and very rushed at the end. Nonetheless we enjoyed the session and were pleased we’d been. Got home and put all the flowers in water under my shelter and then went to have a look at N’s house renovations. They are stunning. She is staying with her mum at the moment but has to move back in and camp for a couple of weeks until the builders have finished, probably towards the middle of July I would think. Walked up the road for a delicious lunch at Bread and Lard and a catch-up, then did some chores and then gardening for an hour or two
