Stunning Sunrise

We were out before the cockerels crowed to do a circular six mile walk from Kioni (Ithaca, Greece) to Anogi.

On the way there it was obvious it was a stunning sunrise so we stopped at Frikes Harbour to take a photograph. It was just as well as the walk to Anogi was mostly shaded and only an occasional sea view. It was all uphill there but nice to sit for a minute on stone benches on this well signposted ancient trackway.

We had a coffee at the taverna in Anogi before the downward three miles which took as long as we were careful not to slip! It's deemed the most scenic walk on the island. Well worth the early start to see the sunrise on the way!

The rest of the day spent around the villa, only popping to the local village of Stavros this evening to get Mrs BB a new snorkelling mask!
