An early start as I had to go and get my eyes checked - all good, but I've had to order a new pair. Prescription not changed that much, but the lenses on my existing ones are so scratched and scuffed by various events that my view of things is very blotchy. So, it was an expensive visit but a clean bill of eye health. Did a bit of shopping on the way home. Yoga at lunchtime, in the new West End venue (another one!). It was fine. Then the island dweller returned in time for tea.

I've always been intrigued by this line of shrubs by the entrance to Sainsbury's at Meadowbank - it looks as if whoever's in charge of clipping it is thinking about trying some topiary but loses their nerve!
