River of Flowers

By doffy

Tuesday: #30DaysWild - Tina Turner Tree …

… named in honour of the great lady herself, real name Cordyline australis, which is in flower and there are lots of bumblebees and other nectar loving insects flying around it. If it wasn’t so windy the scent of the flowers would be intoxicating!
Dentist visit for annual checkup this morning, no problems but I was late because the ticket machine at the car park rejected my coins. Tried to “pay by phone” but the app was timing out before my “secret code” arrived by email … grrrrrr - obviously hadn’t been tested for rural mobile services …
After dentist, drove round to the craft shop with a box of surplus jewellery making items and craft magazines - they also took a couple of boxes of antique jars and bottles and some books. All these items will be shared or donated to local charity shops - will do more sorting!!
Driving home, nostalgia for my primary school had me taking a detour through the village and stopping at the village shop - got talking to the grandson of a farm we used to visit every week, who also knew the “new best friend” I met waiting for the Steam Rally to open … the decorated post box was in that village :-))

Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
