River of Flowers

Wednesday: #30DaysWild - Flowers then Fruit …

… Black leaved elderflower and Yellow leaved elderflower along the top, honeysuckle at the bottom and a “chance photo” of a reflection of the sun shining in a clear blue sky in one of the large saucers of water which are refilled every day - the birds, hedgehogs and insects have been relying on this water for the past 3 weeks without rain. The insects are vital for pollinating the flowers then in a few weeks time all 3 plants will have berries for the birds - collaboration of the best sort :-))
Highlight of this morning was looking down onto the Bardsey eating apple tree, noticing a number of very small birds: counted 6 blue tits - 2 stressed out adults who were collecting tiny insects (maybe greenfly) and feeding them to the 4 cute babies still in their downy plumage  :-))
I tried to do some family history this morning but my concentration is poor and I’m tired after haring around last few days - the wind hasn’t helped either :-((
Got a load of washing dry outdoors, so the wind can also be useful …!
ADDED LATER: TWO small hedgehogs in the garden this evening :-)) … AND a larger one walking up the drive at bedtime!
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
