Amadou and Marium

Wow, the unexpected pleasures are the best!
Had a busy day in work and while checking my email at 6.50 caught an invitation to a drinks party and then Amadou and Marium at the Hay Festival. I was down to steward Seth Lakeman later on but I could squeeze in most of the Amadou.
From the first few bars , the normally sensible Hay audience was dancing in the aisles. All ages , in fact the older the person the more frenetic the dancing.
I fiddled for a while trying to get the audience blurred and jigging while keeping the band crisp. Gave up in the end and just enjoyed the music.
We left a bit early and went off to steward the Seth Lakeman gig. What a talented guy , and very nice too. Came out afterwards and signed CD's and talked to fans.
Exhausted and late night so back blipping and precious little time for commenting Im afraid.
