2023 Monday — Repairing the Bluff
I know there are too many photos captured and stuffed into this collage. A couple months or years from now these photos will make sense to me and serve as a reminder of what we are seeing this season.
We had driven four miles south to Morro Bay this morning to do several things; as we were arriving back into Cayucos, we drove up and over the hill to our place and we could see the enormous boom of a crane and decided to drive to where it was located to take a look.
Later from the house we could see the crane lift a small earthmoving piece of equipment (I don’t know the official name of the tractor) over the top of a house to the shore. Then the crane lifted a large orange bucket, it looked almost the size of a “roll off” used when doing demolition. Then when the bucket was full, it would be brought back up and over the house to the street; that was repeated several times. We knew something serious was happening.
So we’ll be doing more investigating in the next few days to learn what’s really happening on the shore almost directly in front of us.
From California’s Central Coast,
