Trams in Leith

Having been taken as a young child on one of the last tram rides in Edinburgh in the mid-1950s ( I still have the ticket), I wanted to go on one of the first trams to run for the public in Leith in 66 years.

They began at noon today but I left an hour before venturing on by which time they were less busy.

It allowed me the excuse to have lunch in Leith at my favourite Tapa restaurant and, by going a bit later I was able to sit outside in the sunshine as the clouds had burned away.
