... a monument/memorial

My apologies -- for not featuring a monument today.. I already had a monument in mind which I thought would look great at night because the last time I saw it (which was about 5 years ago), it was bathed in light. Unfortunately, it was dark as dungeon where it stood and even when I took a shot, it didn't came out too nicely. Promise I'll go back tomorrow and give it another go. So tomorrow you guys get two, or even three monuments.. I know you are all forgiving, thank heavens for that.. So instead of a monument, I give you this --

BAYWALK and heavy traffic AT NIGHT

The Baywalk is a promenade overlooking Manila Bay along Roxas Boulevard in the city of Manila, Philippines. The Manila Baywalk is a two kilometre stretch between the US Embassy and the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) just past the Manila Yacht Club. This promenade lies in front of the Manila Bay and is usually referred to as Baywalk Manila. Manila Bay is the harbor that serves the port of Manila with a 19 km wide entrance and is divided by the island of Corregidor.

Baywalk Manila used to be a popular venue at night with open-air pubs, restaurants and cafes that serve local cuisines while onlookers may watch the Manila sunset. Many of the venues also feature music and live band performances. Local artists frequent the area and free mime, acrobatics, and other art performances can sometimes be found along the strip. Unfortunately, with the change of local goverment, all of the restaurants, pubs and cafes were taken away, reason being the increase in crime rate in the area due to drunkenness and everything it entails..

Been to visit the in-laws today. It was all good as my mouth never stopped working with all the chatting and eating that went on all throughout the visit. It was fun bantering with my father-in-law as well as getting into a non-stop chatting contest with my mother-in-law, haha!!! It was nearly 6pm by the time we were headed home. Took a cab to take us straight to my monument, unfortunately, with the heavy traffic, it was quite dark when we got there.. So...

Hugs and kisses to everyone!
