Where Is Everyone?

Having been inside, working since early morning, I took a first breath of air at 6pm for a walk in Roundhay Park. The cloud never burnt off all day. I don't think the temperature got above 12 deg. Our relationship to temperature is surprisingly relative. If this had been a day in February, the park would have been packed, many people wanting to enjoy the mild weather. As it was, there was no one about, people preferring to stay in out of the cold. I've never seen the park so empty. For a summer evening, it was ridiculous.
