A just emerged cinnebar moth, one of the many insects that rely on ragwort. It was just getting to grips with opening its wings and hadn’t yet flown, it walked up a nettle for a safe rest before it took its maiden voyage - a whole micro world going on mostly out of site of us loud crashing humans !
Mega gardening stint undertaken by both of us , I made the most of a willing husband and more cloudy day and we clocked up 5 hrs ! Garden looks great and plants are well fertilised and mulched .
Back was a bit sore after that lot so I didn’t ride and instead lunged Daisy. She was a nutter and flew about , so much so that she kept falling over or slipping . I eventually got her to slow down and stop but am a little concerned at the falling over thing .
