Hoar Frost

We travelled to Oamaru today and from Omarama to Otematata there was a hoar frost.Absolutely freezing, but incredibly beautiful! Evidently -11.1C there this morning.
The main photo is at Sailors Cutting on the Waitaki Valley road. 
It’s much warmer on the coast - about + 8C!
