Well, it's a bit warm

Allegedly up
to thirty degrees, too warm
for dogs, boys and Me!

Tricky morning, took Ben for a walk with Leo, tried to go somewhere with tree cover and quiet, plus early enough that it wasn't too roasting but Ben was really hard work, hitting out and shouting at both me and Leo.  It was a shame because the walk itself was pretty and Leo was happy to explore somewhere new.  We had lunch without Mr KCNQ2Haiku as he was still on his bike ride, the temperature had slowed him down a lot.  Then I pottered and tidied whilst Ben watched some telly.  I filled the paddling pool (fortunately I had bought a dog friendly one last year so that it was less slippy for Ben but that has worked out well now we have Leo!) Both Ben and Leo were keen to watch me fill it and both jumped in.  Ben was out within seconds though and on to the next thing but Leo has dipped in and out all day which is sweet (despite the muddy paw prints again in the house!)  At 5pm we had a bit of a walk in the woods, it was surprisingly cool with a bit of a breeze, we picked up a magnum on the way so that was a highlight!
Now we're home, Ben's back with the telly and Leo is in the paddling pool.  I think that might be a feature over the next few days!
Photo is fun because it was the peony first thing this morning and after a full day's sun, it's now out completely! I'd take another photo to show you but the sun has moved position now, so it's too shady!  Just think, you probably have that joy to come tomorrow :-D
