Tea in the garden

Saturday
Another lazy day today, watching too much TV. Although I was never much good at playing tennis, I do enjoy watching it, and this morning was the ladies final between No. 1 Sviatek from Poland and unseeded Muchova from Czech Republic from the French Open at Roland Garros. Initially, it seemed it would be rather one sided in Sviatek’s favour, but then Muchova fought back and won the second set. The third set saw them both breaking serve, but ultimately Sviatek won the battle. I always feel sorry for the loser being called upon to give a speech when they receive their award, they’re tired, bitterly disappointed and emotional. It took Muchova several minutes to compose herself enough to speak.
I then went out to do some shopping, but when I got back, we enjoyed our tea out in the sunshine, before going back inside to watch the UEFA Champion League Final, with Manchester City going for the Treble, adding to their Premier League and FA Cup Final successes. It wasn’t the most exciting game, with a single goal well into the second half, but City came away with the win! At least I got some knitting done while I was watching, and Roger was following doctor’s orders!
My blip shows our back garden, with an inset of one of my recently planted patio containers, one of the healthier looking ones - some critter, deer, squirrel or chipmunk (!) - has been snacking on a couple of plants in some of the others!
