Asparagus!

I think they might be trying to attract passing traffic. 

Pilates at 9 and then got hair done - in Petersfield, that’s a first - bought Mum some treats in M&S and popped over.  It was very hot, too hot to go for a walk so we drove up to the church to water the little pot of plants we’d put on Dad’s grave and then to Boots in Denmead to buy some toothpaste. Exciting!  But we took the long way round and enjoyed the roses in the hedgerows and the huge swathes of elderflower, also in prolific bloom this year.  

Back home by 4 and tackled the garden, planting out, worrying about the lack of water.  The tree surgeon had popped by to look at the weeping willow and said it might have a canker but to water it. 

Talked to B&C for plans for next weekend.  Quiet evening which was lovely.
